k so a lot of people said they dont believe in life after death, but lets say there is....what would your heaven be, how would you want to spend eternity? mine i think would be in leelanau, not the casino part but the part with sand and dunes and beaches and skies and breezes and my friends and family

Wow...thinking about doing anything or being anywhere FOREVER is really hard.
It would take me a long time to sit here and re-create a perfect Priscilia Universe...
I am sure though, that my heaven would have trees and large bodies of water and mountains and sun and tulips and animals and a sky[something beyond that I still have to wonder about] and my family and friends...those, indeed, are all required for my happiness.

I like Jhonen Vasquez's depiction of the afterlife in Johnny The Homicidal Maniac issue 6. Damn, I sound like a geek. Hell isn't really any different than regular life, but in heaven, Everybody is content with just sitting in a chair not doing anything.

Hey choke, you seriously wanted to be a nun? how far did you go?

i have given it much thought too actually. Was wondering if you can share your experience with us :)

I also have this crazy idea, that when i am old and retire, I want to spend the rest of my days sweeping floors :)
Don't really know why, but I just like the idea of it.

mahahaha lol i already sweep floors :P im a motel cleaner :P keeps me humble:D

i coodnt really go 2 far into da nun thing cuz im youngish and my mum threatened to put me on a drip :P I just went hardcore minimilist lifestyle..

im not religious so coodnt b a religious nunnish person :P but for like buddhism the idea of sitting and thinking for days at a time really appealed to me so i did it :D fucked me over a little i guess but hey all part of growing up :P

Being an insanely impulsive person its fukn awesome to sit still and wander.. im going to take it up properly when im homeless (im deliberately going to be homeless to see what its like)

i was all set for living at a monastary but ill be fukt if im guna feed sum bald old monkman his soup and somehow be enlightened :S

HOWEVER.. im not gonna dedicate my whole life to it cuz im tryna go thru heapsa difrent lyfestyles b4 i die.. im guna b a psychologist, a farmer, a homeless un-religious buddhist nun, a writer, an air hostess.. ill add more to the list no doubt :P

i dont think i actualy answered your question but it gives u clearer idea anyway :P

  Thanks for sharing Choke!

I'm the youngest in the family too. My mum freak a little when I started to attend Buddhist Camp when I was a teenager. The idea of going vegetarian kinda put me off a bit. Its not compulsory though.

Anyway, maybe we'll met up in some remote temple somewhere in the east one of these days. Me sweeping floor, and goodness knows what you will be up to by then :)

Peace!

Buddhist camp?!
That's cool...what do you do there?

A few years ago I started going to a place called The Shambhala Centre here in Toronto. They trained me and taught me how to meditate.
They have a bunch of practice and study programs too which I haven't really explored but which sound pretty interesting.

Its a camp for teenagers organize by a buddhist temple. Its like Bible camp. Except in buddhist camp, you wake up at 5am daily, jog up a hill, and come back for prayers or meditation. And they feed you nothing but vegetarian food. I nearly fainted, cause I was a meat lover then (now turning in to a veggan though).

Its fun. They don't really teach you about buddhisme as in the way of life, but more on how to be a good teenager and how not to fall under peer pressure etc. I think I learn how to climb trees in the camp :)
