This is a subject that has always interested me: that, even in the information age, with all our technology and communication and our advanced record keeping, the truth can - and does - still get lost. And being about quotations, I thought it appropriate for GT.

when I was doing illustrations for a series of quotation books it was interesting to learn from the woman gathering all the thousands of quotes from various sources that it wasn't always easy to pin a certain quote with one person. Sometimes we couldn't verify the true author, and sometimes we'd find the same quote attributed to two people.
