Girlwholived: "Daydreamin" doesn't borrow from "Squares." Both songs sample from I Monster's "Day Dream in Blue," which is a great song as well. Just so you know.
from http://www.last.fm/music/The+Beta+Band
>This is the third time that the Gunter Kallman Choir version of Daydream has formed the basis of a new song - the former instances being I Monster's Daydream In Blue and The Beta Band's Squares. Luckily Lupe is a talented MC, and in his hands the familiar string-laden theme seems relatively fresh, particularly with the addition of Jill Scott's lush vocals. As with Kick Push, Lupe's previous single, the laidback vibe is reminiscent of Rae & Christian, blending soulful string samples with chilled-out MCing. A pleasant change from all the self-aggrandizing urban melodrama too often found in mainstream hip-hop.

Ahriman in your avatar what does that sign mean? I encountered this in the states, it seems that the peace sign can be done with the 2 fingers facing either way (with the palm toward the viewer or the back of the hand toward the viewer) but in NZ the palm facing is the peace sign, and the back of the hand facing is the equivalent of 'fuck you' is it the same?

Nah. In the states, either way is peace. Backside is a much more laid back way though. Kind of a more rural tone to it. Front is just the classic. Middle finger is our "F U".

I was on a medical missionary working in Dhaka, Bangladesh last year. We only had one interpreter for the first three days. The poor guy was just running around from doctor to doctor like a chicken with its head chopped off. So, in an attempt to communicate pain level with the patients, I was teaching them “Thumbs up” and “Thumbs down” signs. It was much simpler than trying to explain the whole pain scale thing without an interpreter.
Well .... it seems that there the thumbs up sign means something like ”I don’t care about you, I can’t be bothered with you”. Whoops! Thankfully a smile is a universal symbol.......
