It was a very fun evening. Went to a rib joint where my friend was playing blues and had several friends show up. No margaritas, but pitchers of Sweetwater 420 beer. Being the lightweight I am of course I drank too much (every time I looked at my glass it kept being magically refilled). Then some of the band members asked me to go out back and join them in a smoke of this funny smelling stuff, so as not to seem rude by refusing their generousity of course I did. For some reason after that I had a shit faced smile the rest of the night..and seemed to love everyone there, even strangers. No, I didn't drive myself home. It's a good thing birthdays only come 4 times a year for me. |
