haven't seen yet, but I've got a feeling that my boss at work will be treating us all to a matinee next week.

that is to say, I saw him buy the tickets.

Looking forward to it, though I've never really been a trek fan.

Just got back and it was very good.

McCoy I thought was by far the most like his older counterpart, and very well cast.

But yes. Overall very good.

It's the way all of them should have been made. Don't get me wrong I'm a big Star Trek fan, but this movie, to me, had a good mix of space related action, starship battles and suspense along with some of that cerebral input that I think the series came to depend a bit too much on.

I was very impressed and would be surprised if they didn't do another movie with this cast.

For what it's worth..

You know...I was not interested in this one at all. Something about blockbusters today...most big movies just rub me the wrong way. And I thought this movie would just totally...I molest the Star Trek franchise. If my trusted GT friends liked it though...I'll give it a go. When it comes to DVD.

I just watched this movie today and though the effects were well done, I ended up craving white castle and hoping for a guest appearance from either the sandworm or Michael Keaton. I was also disappointed that simon pegg didn't have a bigger, more hilariously deadly role. either way, it was an alright show.
