I thoroughly enjoy this play, for it is one of Shakespeare's true masterpeices. The play itself is not really about Caesar, but the conspirators. Mainly it focus on the effects of the conspiracy and the assination of Caesar that it has on Marcus Brutus and Caius Cassius. Brutus being a kind hearted friend of Caesars, that betrays him when his fear of Caesar becoming King of Rome overwhelms him. Cassius accuatally starts the conspiracy against Caesar through his hate of him. Brutus, Cassius, and other senators plan to kill Caesar on the Ides of March. When the day come around they kill Caesar at the doors of the Senate and leave Mark Antony alone. Brutus allows Mark Antony to say a eulogy at Caesar's funeral and he betrays the conspirators. Octavius, Caesar's cousin, comes to Rome and Antony plays on the emotions of Octavius. Brutus and Cassius fight over morality the day before the battle with Antony and Octavius' armies. The made up and headed to the battle field in Philippi. Brutus and Cassius get seperated in the battle, a messenger tells Brutus that Cassius is dead and with the guilt of Caesar's death on his mind he commits suicide. Cassius finds this out and he also commits suicide for his lost bretheren. This play is great because it show the effects of assassination on the assassins.

    I suggest you read it.
