Al Na'ir Alshain
Jack Patrick
14 Jul 2003
She lies among the grass, Tall blades sway in protest From the ever exhaling wind. Before her unfolds the night; Inky, and black and cold. An ocean, Frozen tides of rolling light. She holds within drawn breath, Reaching out towards heaven, In hope to grasp eternity. Fingertips yield to luminescence. Her clutch clasps shut and to earth returns. 'Tween expanse of fingers pours starshine. She gazes upon her captive treasure, Diamonds resting in her palm, Hues dancing and softly burning. She stares at them sublimely, Counts out their numbers And places all in a transparent jar Made from glass. She fastens the lid, And smiles. Eyes dancing in the moonlight.
Wrote this for a girl I thought I was falling for. At any rate, it sounds nice.
