  • Loneliness

I'm warning you right now, most of what will follow is probably just me blowing smoke out of my ass(or whatever the expression is), be warned.

I think I may have figured it out, why I hate this small city i live in. More along the lines of a town rather then a city. In a city, where I'm from, everyone is alone. Its pretty much standard, people walk alone along the streets, sit alone in bus's and subways, live in a shell. Why that is I really can't say. Sure, people have friends, family, etc. but the truth is your never as alone as when you live in a big city, an ant in the ant farm if you will. Thats why on the other hand small town people have so much trouble in the big city, they;re used to everyone knowing everyone, its hard to adjust to the loneliness. However, since we all know the others are alone theres a certain sharing, a camraderie that is found in that sharing. Like the old saying says, loneliness is a lot more tolerable when your sharing it. In this case everyone is sharing because we're all alone. In a small city, you lose the camraderie. Thats what I find hard. You move here and your truly alone, with your thoughts, waiting. And the loneliness weighs on you, slowly crushing you, making you either more sane or less sane(depends on your perspective of me). I have never been so alone as I am now, in this small town. I feel myself slowly slipping, losing sight of reality. I can't wait to go home, back to sharing my loneliness with everyone else. If all I wrote doesn't make sense... well I can't really explain it, its just how it is I guess.
