And I stop for a while
Moments of calm amidst chaos
Eternity stolen from the ephemeral
Rejuvenation, revival, rejoicing
In the air that caresses
Light, fresh, mirthful
I become alive once again
Feeling waters refilling
Dry, dead, parched landscapes
Of my heart, soul, mind
Gaiety follows, and so does joy
The barriers are broken
And my hope becomes the phoenix
Rising from the dead at last.
