Bakers Store

I went down to the bakers store
he says its put in to bake and that I will have to wait
A little child walks in
on his face he has a big grin
His eyes sparkle in delight
as he watches the goodies to his left and right
he picks his waiting pastry
he's running down the street eating it hastily
Ring goes the bell
A gentleman walks in
its his anniversary
He looks at the icing on the cake
and from his eye comes a tear
It says "thank you for loving me my dear "
he leaves the store
promising the baker to come back for more
A little girl walk in
with a little dimple on her chin
she looks around in glee
and then she stops smiling when she sees me......
"Its my Birthday she says to me
"Are you here for a cake .??....."
"Yes!" I answer "The bakers put it in to bake....."
"is it your birthday too....??......"
No! I have to reason to celebrate
I just felt like having some cake
"My Mother says cakes are made for a reason ........and that some are for the season..."
"Are you eating it alone....?....".
"Yes" I answer
"Why no one to share" she asks
"Is there no one to share ???? why?? Is there no one to care......?????..."
the baker taps me on the back I awake
The young girl is no more I am alone
waiting for my cake in the store.
