There is a ladder after the last stair
they ask me If I know whats up there
I answer no I dont know
whats up the ladder of the last stair
So I climb up the ladder
Up ........ Up the ladder
beyond the clouds
I look down below to the gathering crowds
I come to an endless garden
the garden is filled with flowers
of each and every type of flower
of every size and every colour
Among them is a painter
Painting a picture of a single flower
I ask him why he paints his picture
he answers me with one word .... "desire"...
I keep climbing up the ladder
I come to an endless garden as before
the garden is filled with flowers
of each and every type of flower
of every size and every colour
Among them is a man at a piano
playing a tune like no other
I ask him why he plays this sweet melody
he answers me with one word ...."beauty"...
I keep climbing up the ladder

Among then is a man building a fence
rolling out barb wire round a single flower
I ask him why he makes sure the flower gets no harm

There is no more to the ladder
so I climb down lower and lower
I pass the piano man and the painter
I meet the people down below
their million questions are not slow
The ask me whats up above??
I answer them with one word......."love"........
