that never touched me
came true inside
the two of us
beneath the words that cut you open
and the ones that wouldn't come
i saw you looking in the mirror
cracked and broken time again
in the face of losing conscience
for the things you never did
you were so young for such a mess
of blood and tears and ash to mix
on a rainy dying sunday
you were looking for your fix
on the mark'ed avenues
of souls so tired and forlorn
you carved your niche for crying daydreams
quiet dark alone and warm
