Jasco1982
17 Aug 2004
The film opens with a view of the Rhondda valley from the mountains. Its shows the valley in all its glory surrounded by the beautiful green mountains. The camera pulls back to see Dylan sitting on a rock overlooking the vally. He is about mid fifties and is wearing smart clothiog. He looks at the camera and smiles.
DYLAN The Rhondda valleys. An average welsh town situated in the south of Wales. Many villages sprung together to create a community. A community like any other, full of people trying to live out their lives in as comfortable way as possible surrounded with this restored natural beauty.
MONTAGE
Music starts to play. Something like paradice city by guns n roses or no leaf clover by metallica.
The camera goes past Dylans shoulder and zooms into the valley.
We see a shot of the Park and dare theatre, The Rhondda Heritage Park and other sites concerning the Rhondda's heritage.
DYLAN (V.O.) The Rhondda was an old mining town. The mines were responsible for the employment for most of the Rhondda's people and the reason for the growth of this valley. But after the closure of the mines unemployment ruled supreme.
We see Clyde cycling through the main streets of the town. He has a big smile on his face. Some old people are standing on their doors. Looking out at passing people with a bored look in their eye.
Clyde Hi Mary.
An old woman wearing a blue tracksuit waves at Clyde as he passes her house.
Clyde Hello Enid.
ENID It's Mrs fucking Jones to you.
Enid snarls and walks back into her house.
This is an unfinished article however it is part of a new script that I plan to write
