I love stars, they give an illusion of permanence. Night after night they appear in the sky as these beautiful pin points of sparkling light that keep us company through the dark until a fresh day arrives. The sad part is, what we see has already happened, some of the stars we see burning so brightly may have already burned out. I think life is much like this, there are always these pinpoints of light, dots of hope that fill our life. Often we wish to join these hopes, these illuminations. By the time they get close to us though, and we realize they're there, we've only realized they were, because the light source has already burned out, the opportunity gone. And so forever these stars of hope are dreams, and for eternity they will
only come to us at night, the stars and the dreams that is. Some of my happiest times are at night.
